Dr. A.F.M. Ruhal Haque is the chairman of the Health and Family Welfare Sub-Committee of Bangladesh Awameleague, and a member of the Standing Committee of parliament Health and Family Welfare. He is the former Minister of Health and Family Welfare, People’s Republic of Bangladesh. He completed MBBS, FRCS, FICS, and FCPS. Dr. Haque is a Professor of Ortho Surgery. He was the president of the Swadhinata Chikitshak Parishad. His constituency was Shatkhira-3.

Prof. Dr. Azad Khan is the honorable president of Bangladesh Diabetic Society and the founder President of Bangladesh Gastroenterology Society. He received Honoris Causa Medicinae Doctorem from the University of Basel, Switzerland in 1999, FRCP (London) in 2001, Fellow of the Bangladesh Academy of Sciences in 2001, and honorary Fellow of the University College London in 2012. He passed FCPS in Medicine from the College of Physician & Surgeons of Pakistan in 1970. He got Col. Jeffrey Gold Medal for best performance in Pakistan. Later he completed D. Phil from the Oxford University in 1977. He has 137 publications in international journals.

Prof. Dr. Mohammad Abu Sayeed is a former Professor of the Department of Community Medicine of Ibrahim Medical College, Dhaka. He passed MBBS from DMC of Dhaka University. He did Diploma in Community Medicine (DCM), MD in Endocrinology and Metabolism and Ph.D. The thesis was on “Predictors of risks for vascular complications of diabetes and their probability”. Dr. Sayeed has published, reviewed and presented 124 different articles in different journals.

Prof. Dr. Sameena Chowdhury is the President of Obstetrical and Gynecological Society of Bangladesh (OGSB) and the president of the Endometriosis Society of Bangladesh (ESB). She is an Obstetrician and Gynecologist. She passed MBBS, MCPS, FCPS, FICS (USA), FICMCH (Ind), and DRH(UK). She was the Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Dhaka Medical College.

Prof. Dr. Quazi Tarikul Islam is a member of the National Technical Advisory Committee for COVID 19. He also served as a member of the Regional Technical Advisor Group for Dengue, SEARO, WHO. He is a counselor and controller of examinations in the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons. He passed MBBS from Rajshahi Medical College and FCPS in Medicine from Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons. He did FACP (USA), FRCP (Glasg, UK), FRCP (Edin), MACP (USA). Dr. Islam was the Professor of Medicine both in Rajshahi Medical College and Dhaka Medical College. He has over 97 publications in national and international journals.

Prof. Md. Faruque Pathan is the head of the department of Endocrinology of BIRDEM. He passed MBBS in 1976 from Dhaka Medical College and joined as a lecturer in the same medical college in 1978. He started his career as a diabetologist in BIRDEM in 1984. He obtained MD in Endocrinology in 1993. He has nearly more than one hundred publications in both national and international journals.

Dr. Abu Jamil Faisel is the Country Representative of Engender Health Bangladesh. He also works as an Adjunct Faculty Member of the Population Sciences Department of the Dhaka University. He is a medical graduate with a master’s degree in Public Health and a Diploma in Personnel Management. He is now the President of the Public Health Association of Bangladesh, and a Member of three national-level technical committees constituted by MOHFW.

Dr. Abdullah H. Baqui is the Chief Cardiologist at Japan Bangladesh Friendship Hospital. He completed MBBS from Rajshahi Medical College. Dr. H. Baqui is the founder President of the Society for Anti Addiction Movement SAAM and advisor of the Bangladesh Doctor’s Foundation. He is a Rotary Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary District 3281, BD. Chief Editor of NESHA, A Bimonthly Anti Addiction Magazine in Bangla. Lifetime Member of Bangladesh Society of Echocardiography and a former Professor of Cardiology, at the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases & Hospital. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology.

Prof. Dr. Parveen Shahida Akhter is the founder and lifetime member of Shanti Cancer foundation. She is a Medical Oncologist. She passed Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery MBBS from Sher-E-Bangla Medical College, Barisal, Bangladesh. Prof. Dr. Akhter is a lifetime member of the Bangladesh Cancer Society (BCS), Bangladesh Society of Radiation Oncologist (BSRO). Founder and life member of Medical Oncology Society of Bangladesh (MOSB). She has 80 publications.

Prof. Dr. Md. Abdul Jalil Chowdhury is a specialist in Internal Medicine & Rheumatology. He is a former Professor of Internal Medicine at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University. He completed, MBBS, FCPS, MD, and FACP(USA).

Prof. Dr. Md. Ridwanur Rahman is the Head of the Universal Medical Research Center, Mohakhali, Dhaka. He is the Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Chittagong Medical College. He received Fellowship in Internal Medicine (FCPS) in 1989 from the Bangladesh College of Physicians & Surgeons. Prof. Dr. Rahman worked as a chair and member of several National Technical Committees of the government for Public Health purposes. He has over 100 publications.

Prof. Dr. Qazi Mushtaq Hussain is a Cancer Specialist and Head of the Radiotherapy Department at Dhaka Medical College Hospital. He completed MBBS from DMC and M. Phil from BSMMU. Prof. Dr. Hussain Highered for training at Tata Memorial Cancer Hospital, Mumbai, India & St. Lukes Medical Centre Manila, Philippines.

Dr. Munir Ahmed is the Country Director of Orbis International Bangladesh. As a doctor with further training in tropical medicine and hygiene, management of public health, and social development, Munir began his career with a great launchpad from which to tackle health concerns. Having previously worked with UN agencies, local governments, and non-governmental organizations across Bangladesh and Afghanistan.

AKM Fazlur Rahman is an Executive Director of Centre for Injury Prevention and Research Bangladesh. He is a Professor of the Department of Epidemiology at Bangladesh University of Health Sciences, Mirpur (BUHS), Dhaka. He passed MBBS from Mymensing Medical College, did M. Phil on Preventive and Social Medicine in 1991, National Institute of Preventive and Social Medicine, University of Dhaka, and Ph. D from the Department of Public Health Sciences, Karolinska Institute, Sweden.

Mr. Ilias Kanchan is a Bangladeshi actor and activist. He appeared in more than 350 films during the 1980s and 1990s. He earned Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Actor for his role in the film Parineeta (1986). He is a road safety activist in Bangladesh. He was awarded Ekushey Padak for his social service by the Government of Bangladesh in 2018.
